Please find below the results for the Time Trial. It was great to see so many members and their families at the Prize- giving. We had almost riders in the TT with some impressive times (despite the headwind on the way back).
Congratulations to the Summer Series Winners and to those whose names were drawn out for Free 2017 Summer Series Pass – Adam Swney, Hannah Quinlan, Marcel Te Brake, Murray Pearson, Mike Gascoigne and Leith Schwass.
Congratulations also to the three winners of the Le Ride movie passes – David Graham. Grace Kelly and Graham Bunn.
A big thank you to Blair from Spoken Cycles for his continued sponsorship of both our Summer and Winter Series – we appreciate your generosity Blair, and ask that members show their appreciation by supporting your shop.
Thank you also to Brian Fleck for his hard work running the U15 programme, the U15 parents who assist Brian, Tene McGrath for driving the Lead Car during this series, Marcel Te Brake and his team of helpers for organising and running the BBQ at the Prize-giving, Bunny for being our TT holder, Holly White for assisting at registration and to Wayne Strong for setting up and taking down the course each Tuesday night.
A big thank you to Heather Smyth and Karen Smith, for your hard work running registration, judging and time keeping – we have loads of laughs and work well as a team. Thank you Nathan and Stephen Cox from Dynamo Events – a timing system only works as well as the people running it!
If you haven’t already updated your licence, you will need to do this to race next year. The Cycling New Zealand Membership portal is now up and running for 2017 memberships (1 January – 31 December 2017). You will need to go the website Click here
The Summer Series will start again on the 17th of January. I will email out the calendar once it has been finalised and Ted will post it on the Website.
Good luck to everyone racing the Centre Track Champs at the Avantidrome this weekend. With more than 150 entries, I’m sure events will be hotly contested. A big thank you to Cath Cheatley for the work she has done not only with our own track programme but also in organising the Centre Champs.
A quick update on Jeff Tucker from D Grade – he had surgery on his arm last week as it wasn’t healing properly so hopefully he is now on the road to a full recovery. We look forward to seeing you in 2017 Jeff.
Well that about wraps it up! Merry Christmas to you all – may you get lots of new ‘toys’ and stay safe on the roads!
