John Pulman Memorial Race Results PDF Print E-mail

A chilly start to this morning’s race but the sun then broke through to make for a lovely day!  Congratulations to the place getters in today’s race with Jack Carswell taking out the U15’s and Jackson Ogle winning the graded race and taking home the Shield.  Congratulations to Alex Heaney who had the fastest time (prize money coming your way Alex!)

A big thank you to Georgina, Wayne and Neil for marshalling the course today.

Good luck to those competing in the Dynamo Winter Series races over the next few weeks.

Below are the results for week 8 of racing.  We finished the block with a great night of racing, no crashes and lots of fun with a few riders improving so much they will all be wanting to move up a group for the next block of racing.

Even though Cath isn't in the country at the moment she is still behind the scene organising programmes, prizes, helpers and the next block of racing. The biggest thanks needs to go to Cath for all of her hard work!

Also thanks to Don, Russell, Claire and Colin for helping with running the racing  and getting everyone up on the track in time.  Special thanks to Hannah Mudgway for keeping Haylee and I laughing and for winning the Gold medal in awesome attitude!

Looking forward to doing it all again at the end of August!  Melinda will send out an email next week regarding registration for the next track block.

Please see below important info regarding a Kierin Track Series that will take place in our two week break:

With the Te Awamutu Cycling Club taking the next two Wednesdays off, the Avantidrome is going to run a Keirin Series for both of these Wednesday nights. These events are open to all accredited riders and you will be graded so you are riding people of the same ability.  They will run from 6pm -8.30pm (ish) and everyone will get four Keirins on each night. To fit this in we have to limit the numbers to 48 riders so please book either online or with Reception on 07 823 1421

These nights have been loaded onto the track schedule so be quick and you won't be disappointed.

The cost is $15 per adult and $10 for a youth.

See you there

Below are the results form last night's racing.  A big thank you to Jo, Don and Russell who ran the racing  with help from Hannah Mudgway (apprentice) Hayley, Colin, Claire & Paul.

Poor Cath was still stuck on the runway when racing was underway because they had to wait for the airspace to clear for the US President's plane to land -  Not with the actual President on board!

We look forward to hearing of Cath's Rio adventures when she returns in September!

Spoken Cycles Winter Series Week 10 Results PDF Print E-mail
